At the Upper Valley MakerSpace and Claremont MakerSpace, we expect to have equipment available for woodworking, machining, welding, electronics assembly, silk screening, spray shop, lamp working, jewelry making, metalsmithing, 3D printing, a computer lab and more.
In order for members to gain access to our tools, Upper Valley MakerSpace and Claremont MakerSpace requires that potential users be members and be certified in the use of a particular tool through the successful completion of our testing process. To be certified, a member must demonstrate competent, safe and responsible use of the equipment to the satisfaction of one of our trained tool shop staff.
Training sessions and classes are available to help members meet these standards. Often our tool trainings cover multiple pieces of equipment, which allow our members to get up to speed quickly. These trainings are great as refresher courses or to build sufficient skill for certification, but for more practice hours or instruction in advanced techniques, please consult our course offerings.
Testing sessions will be offered monthly or by appointment. Testing is required for all first-time users of all equipment, including new and upgraded equipment in the shop.
