The Upper Valley MakerSpace and Claremont MakerSpace plan to offer a variety of memberships, which will allow access to our shared equipment. Members receive access to all equipment but need to be trained and certified in the use of specific equipment by our tool shop staff before being allowed to use it.
Monthly memberships that vary in amount of access will be available including unlimited, week-nights/weekends, weekend only and institutional memberships, which allow companies to provide employees access to tools. Day rates are also possible, and students get a discount. Pricing has yet to be finalzied. Membership packages will include:

Tools and Equipment Some tools don’t make sense to own, others take up too much space. By creating a shared workspace around the collective needs of our members, we are creating a space which will be useful to everyone.
Studio and Storage Spaces
Upper Valley MakerSpace and Claremont MakerSpace will offer both studio and storage spaces to members.
Studio spaces will be come in both 50 and 100 sq ft sizes separated by low divider walls. Studios will have a dedicated electrical outlet, high-speed wireless internet, air conditioning and heating, dumpster for trash pickup, and access to a tractor trailer loading dock with a 30-day tenant-at-will lease. Storage shelf spaces also will be available in 2’x2’x2’ dimension on a monthly basis.
Upper Valley MakerSpace and Claremont MakerSpace will be run by a very small paid staff and will depend upon a large number of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers who provide a significant commitment of time will be rewarded with discounted membership and everyone’s sincere gratitude. Volunteer work opportunities will include front desk coverage during open hours, marketing and publicity, graphic/web design, shop management, tool maintenance, assisting with training and testing of new members on tool use and shop/common space cleaning.
